MISSING WOMAN IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN MURDERED

31-year-old Danette Pierre is believed to have been murdered minutes after she left her Ste. Madeleine home last Saturday.

TSR understands that Pierre was lured to her death by someone known to her when she hustled out of her home telling her mother she was "making a turn".

Non-stop searches have taken place for the mother of three young children since her mysterious disappearance on Saturday 29th January 2023.

The shade room was reliably informed that Danette is believed to be the burnt victim found inside a Mazda motorcar in Claxton Bay, minutes after she left her home.

Police officers of the Highway patrol received information about a car on fire aling a dirt road off Cedar Hill Road in Claxton Bay.

Fire officers were summoned to the scene and the blaze was extinguished and upon examining the vehicle, the charred remains of a human was found on the burnt-out back seat.

Jewelry, TSR was told, which Danette may have been wearing at the time, was found near the remains, which ruled out robbery was the motive.

The car in which the remains were found had been reported stolen from the Sangre Grande police district.

Last week, a source at the Forensic Sciences Centre in St. James siad, an autopsy was performed on the remains but the pathologist was unable to ascertain the gender.

Also, the forensic pathologist was able to determine the victim was burnt alive. It is also believe the victim may have been incapacitated at the time the car was set on fire.

TSR understands that based on all possible indications, the remains may be that of Danette but homicide detectives would have acquire DNA samples from her relatives and send them abroad for testing which would take several months before the results are returned.

In the meantime, since there isn't any positive identification of the remains, they will remain at the Forensic Sciences Centre in St. James pending DNA results.

Danette's mother, Donna Pierre, was interviewed by Sasha Wilson of the T&T Guardian Newspaper, and the following are excerpts from the article:

If Pierre had plans to go out she would inform her, but she did not tell her anything that day. Recalling her last interaction with her daughter, the youngest of her five children, she said Pierre had just sent her two older children, ages 13 and seven, in the bathroom.

Pierre received a phone call while her teenage daughter was in the shower around 8:30 pm.

'I heard her say, ‘well my daughter bathing when she finish I’ll organise.’'

When her granddaughter had finished bathing, Pierre got off the chair in a haste and went to shower.

Donna said Pierre, dressed in a blue jeans, a jersey and a “crinkled” light blue shirt “as though she was just going in the grocery” and told her “mummy, I just making a turn to come back now.”She was wearing a pair of slippers and left with only her brown purse. “My child don’t walk the road nowhere with a ruffled up,” she said.

Pierre was not accustomed using public transportation, but Donna said she did not hear a vehicle to indicate that someone picked her up.

When she realized around midnight Pierre was not home and had not called or messaged her, she tried to reach her on her cellphone.

She believes that Pierre would not have told her if she was in trouble or threatened because she wouldn’t want to worry her.

Donna began living with her daughter last July. She said at that time her daughter was living at Goodwood Park but there was a “serious incident” and “we had to get out.”

They stayed with a friend from September to October and then in November they moved to Ste Madeleine.
