There are reports of a murder in Cocorite.
The deceased has been identified as Christopher Blake alias "Dread Mike" of Waterhole Cocorite.
On Thursday 19th January 2023 around 11:30pm residents of Cocorite Terrace, Cocorite were alerted by several loud explosions and contacted the police.
Officers responded and went to Light Pole 15A Cocorite Terrace, Cocorite where they saw Blake's body lying on its back on the steps of a gallery.
Visiting the scene were Insp Ramjattan, Ag/Sgt Telesford, Sgt Adams, Homicide Region officers, Sgt Romeo PC Lewis, WPC Frederick, PC Cromwell, and WPC Elder. The scene was processed several spent 5.56 shells were found.
Investigations are continuing.
