Ex-murder accused "Max" was gunned down in Piarco and robbed of a gold chain on Saturday.
According to uncutt we understands that the deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Justin Pierre aka "Max" of Righteous Lane, Pinto Rd., Arima.
Around 4:50 pm on Saturday 18th March 2023, PC George and PC Thomas of the Arouca CID were at a Police Youth Club Meeting at Oropune Gardens when they received information about a shooting at Building 8A.
Officers went to the location and arrived 5 minutes later and discovered several persons gathered around a man who had gunshot wounds to the body and face, lying in the carpark of Building 8A.
The District Medical Officer Dr. Jurawan visited the scene, viewed the body, made her pronouncement, and ordered it be taken to the Forensic Sciences Centre in St James for an autopsy.
"Max", who was recently released from prison on a murder charge, was robbed of a gold chain he had around his neck at the time he was shot.
Police believe either the killer stole the chain after Max or another resident. Officers however recovered a gold bracelet he had on one of his hands.
One of his feet was broken during the shooting and Crime Scene Investigators recovered 10 spent 40 cal shell casings at the scene.
ASP Russel, Sgt. Ramoutar, PC Lopez, PC John, PC Ali, and WPC Marshall were among the officers who visited the scene. PC Mc Queen of the Region 2 Homicide Bureau of Investigations is probing the incident which has been classified as gang-related.
