RIFFLE & MAGAZINES SEIZED IN TUNAPUNA

An anti crime exercise was conducted in the Tunapuna Police Station district on Monday 16th January 2023. This exercise was held by the Inter Agency Task Force.

The officers around 10pm went to the home of priority offender Steven Phillip located at Basilon Court, Tunapuna to execute a search warrant however he was not at home. A search of the home was conducted in the presence of his mother and nothing illegal was found.


The officers received further information and searched two vehicles a Hyundai Tucson PCT 7040 and a Nissan Tiida PDG 2333 that were parked in the yard.

The officers found in the trunk of the Tiida - 292 rounds of assorted ammunition, 6 rifle magazines, 3 extended magazines, 1 pistol magazine, 6 springs (components) for magazines and 1 Anderson Hebron KY AM-15 Multi Cal Rifle.


Three persons were arrested and is assisting police with its investigation.

This exercise was spearheaded by Assistant Commissioner of Police(Ag) Tactical Kelvern Thompson, Senior Superintendent Subero and Asp Ramesar and coordinated by Inspector. Forbes amongst other officers.
